    Dog Found Aug 25
Friendly, male light brown, very fluffy large collie cross.
Has city tag but was found after hours. No other identification tags. Contact Jennifer at 780-455-3885.
    FOUND KEYS
Some keys were turned in to Tree Frog on July 22 (sorry for the delay). A distinctive key chain thingie holds one vehicle key, and others. Call Al at 429-2461.
    Small grey cat
Missing, as of night of June 27-28, two-and-a-half-year old long-haired grey cat, with white and orange flashes. See photo attached or by clicking on this title on front page. Very inquisitive, could have entered garage or other enclosed space. Please check your hideaways. Phone 780-429-0605.
    Kite Released from Tree
The big wind storm has released a kite that had been stuck up in a tree.  If it belongs to you and you would like it back, please call Andy or Jenn at 780-988-0107.
    Dead cat
This morning I found a dead cat lying on the boulevard in front of 10184 - 92 Street.  It is youngish - probably under a year old, calico (black, white and golden mix). It looks as though it was hit by a car. I am going to remove it because there are quite a few children who play in that area.  If anyone wants to identify it, I can be reached at 780-642-1517.  I will keep it wrapped up until the next garbage collection (Thurs. Apr 8).

Riverdale Kindergarten Wins Reprieve - from Edmonton Journal
Kindergarten continues at Riverdale school, at least for this year.

Hard work by parents and community members paid off Tuesday when Edmonton Public Schools superintendent Edgar Schmidt announced the program would remain open for the 2010-11 school year. Schmidt said the decision was based on significant enrolment of 13 students, plus one pending, which occurred in the past couple of days.

"The community has done an outstanding job promoting the school," he said.

    Getting ready for October Elections.
Why are Riverdale School Grads high achieving and community minded, so engaged and committed to ‘giving back to the community’? Why do so many rich and wonderful things happen behind that newly renovated historic brick façade? Let me tell you some stories sometime to start answering those questions. In the meantime, be convinced of the excellence of Riverdale School and help it flourish. Vote for Dave Colburn for our school trustee.

Not all trustees recognize the benefit of a local school. They are not familiar with the research that explores the value of strong community/ school relations.
I am supporting Dave Colburn for ward D. He understands the correlations between a smaller community school and graduates who are high achieving, civically engaged, and with a heightened sense of social responsibility.
Here is Dave’s website http://www.colburnfortrustee.com/. Please consider contributing to his campaign and please vote in October. Let your friends in other jurisdictions know to vote for trustees that support community schools. Join the growing support for Riverdale School.
