UP-COMING ROAD CLOSURE related to GRIERSON/MACDONALD DRIVE/ROSSDALE ROAD BRIDGE
An Information Session was hosted by the City Transportation Department on September 28 with respect to the rehabilitation of the following bridges:
    •   Grierson Hill over McDougall Hill Bridge Overpass (2012 construction)
    •   MacDonald Drive Pedestrian Underpass (2012 construction)
    •   Rossdale Road over McDougall Hill Bridge Overpass (2013 construction)

Kevin Minaker attended on behalf of the League, and reports that the City will be working on all the little access bridges and overpasses on the hillside between 101 St and Grierson Hill next summer. The biggest impact will be the complete closure of the overpass that connects Grierson Hill to the low level bridge and Rossdale road.  It will be closed all next summer.

More details and maps are available on the City’s web site:
    http://www.edmonton.ca/transportation/roads_traffic/bridge-rehabilitation-project.aspx

Kevin says, “I guess the best route from Riverdale to the U of A next summer will be the Bike Path.”
